Man charged in triple shooting that left 1 dead near St. Louis riverfront

One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting in downtown St. Louis late Monday night.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - A Jennings man is facing charges in connection with a triple shooting that left one person dead near the St. Louis riverfront in September.

George Gholston, 30, is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police said the shooting happened on Leonor K. Sullivan and Chouteau along the Riverfront at around 11:59 p.m. on September 5. Nicholas Taylor, 30, of Ferguson, was found not breathing and unconscious after being shot; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 25-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were dropped off at a local hospital in critical but stable condition.
