Man charged in shooting during fight that left woman dead, 2 teens wounded
NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV) - A 19-year-old man is charged in connection with a shooting that happened during a fight in North County on May 2.
Emonne Dillon is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, discharge of a firearm at or from a motor vehicle at a person, another motor vehicle or building - persistant offender and first-degree attempted assault.
Police say the shooting happened in the 10400 block of Halls Ferry just before 9:30 p.m. after a fight broke out in front of the home. When officers arrived, they say they found a woman outside with gunshot wounds; she was pronounced dead at the scene. Inside the home, officers found an 18-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy; both were wounded and taken to a hospital. The 14-year-old was treated for minor injuries and was released, the 18-year-old woman found inside suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Thursday, police identified the woman who died as Jayla Farr, 21, of Berkeley. Police say Dillion pulled out a gun and shot all three victims and then continued to shoot into the home.
Dillon is being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
