Police identify victim in fatal Velda City shooting

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Police are investigating after a man was killed in an overnight shooting in Velda City Wednesday night.

The man was identified as Romao Harris, 46, of the 7100 block of Lexington Avenue in Velda City.

Velda City Police say the shooting took place in the 7100 block of Lexington around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday. Harris was shot multiple times and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

City of Velda City St. Louis requested St. County Police to assist in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing and News 4 will update this story once more information has been released.
