Woman killed, 3 injured in St. Louis County crash
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - A woman was killed and three people were injured in a multi-car crash in St. Louis County Monday night.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. at Chambers and West Florissant. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said five vehicles were involved in the crash.
According to the crash report, a Chevrolet Avalanche was speeding and passed a Chevrolet Monte Carlo using a median turn lane. When the Avalanche reentered the lane, it crashed into the rear door of the Monte Carlo, traveled across the turn lane, and crashed into a Pontiac G6.
The Avalanche then overturned twice, ejecting the driver. The driver door of the Avalanche landed on the front left side of the hood of a Nissan Sentra, which then slid right and hit the back of a GMC Terrain.
The driver of the Sentra, Parades Meza, was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Three other people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
A recent study from Trailnet showed that Chambers Road was just behind I-270 in fatal crashes in St. Louis County.
First Alert 4 dug into the accused driver’s criminal history and, according to court documents, the suspect has numerous traffic violations and in 2022, a judge ordered a hold on their license.
