ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The murder of a Troy, Illinois, businesswoman and the serious injury of a man she was dating will be featured on this Saturday’s episode of the long-running CBS series “48 Hours.”

Leslie Reeves was the owner of All You Studio and Party Place in Troy and was a local self-defense teacher. She was found dead Nov. 24, 2021 at the Farmersville, Illinois, home of Chris Smith, who Reeves was on a date with.

Smith was also shot and survived. He spent two months following the shooting in a coma and his injuries, which he still suffers from, have required extensive rehabilitation.

The crimes were later linked to 49-year-old Robert Tarr of Collinsville, who Reeves had once dated, according to charging documents in the criminal case. Tarr was convicted in April of murder and attempted murder and sentenced to 85 years in prison.

The episode “Fatal First Date” will air at 9 p.m. Saturday on First Alert 4 and other CBS affiliate stations.
