Turn the Page with Paige: ‘The Adventures of Skip: The Toeless Chicken’ by Alex Schulz

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Families can skip into some silly farmyard fun, with a meaningful lesson about resilience and acceptance, in the children’s book series “The Adventures of Skip, the Toeless Chicken.”

It is inspired by a real chicken from a Jefferson County family’s backyard flock. Skip lost her toes during a rough winter, but she didn’t let that slow her down.

In this week’s episode of Turn the Page with Paige, author Alex Schulz shares how young readers will be inspired to see how Skip became the most determined little chicken on the farm.
