St. Louis

Grace Ybarra joined the First Alert 4 team in November 2024 as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. She comes to St. Louis after spending two years in SEC country working as a sports reporter at WCBI in Columbus, Mississippi. She was named Mississippi Sportscaster of the Year in 2023.
Grace is originally from Indianapolis. There, she attended the International School of Indiana for 13 years — becoming fluent in Spanish. She knew she wanted to be a reporter from a young age. Grace worked as a kid reporter for Scholastic Kids Press Corps and Sports Illustrated Kids, covering Super Bowls, the NCAA tournament and even sat down one-on-one with Michelle Obama in the White House.
She graduated from Indiana University in 2022 with degrees in both journalism and Spanish. During her time in Bloomington, Grace worked as a sideline reporter for Big Ten Network Plus where she called Indiana basketball, soccer, baseball and swimming and diving. She also interned with the WISH-TV sports department in Indianapolis during college.
Grace is so excited to be in St. Louis and work in a city this passionate about their teams. In her spare time, you can usually find her cheering on the Hoosiers, Colts and Pacers.
